My first attempt at writing a blog, fingers crossed😚

So I recently joined this fellowship called Amal Academy Career Prep Fellowship and they basically help you in learning soft skills such as leadership, efficient communication, and confidence, skills that help you to be a good professional and more importantly a better human being.

So it's been like a week now and I am already loving the experience of meeting with new fellows from all over Pakistan and getting to know about their thoughts and perspectives. So far so good. We were given online courses and among those courses, we had a fun little activity about 5 Random acts of kindness. Our goal was to complete 5 random acts of kindness (within a 24 hour period).

After completing each task, we had to take a picture capturing something related to that task. If we were not comfortable taking pictures of the people involved, we could take pictures of something else related to that task to give it a personal feeling. Then we had to Compile all the pictures in a Medium blog and write about our experience of each task.

Here are the random acts of kindness that I came up with . . .

1- Serving nature.

While looking for my random acts of kindness I decided to take a stroll and whilst I was doing that I saw some puppies cuddled up on the side of the road. It was a sunny day so the idea of serving water to the puppies immediately came into my mind. I came home and searched for little disposable cups and upon finding them I filled them with water and took them to the puppies.

After drinking the water they seem quite relieved and I was very much pleased with this act.

2- Sharing is Caring.

As the strawberry season is here and I freakin love strawberries so my uncle sent us strawberries every year cause he happens to know a guy who owns a strawberry farm. I got those strawberries yesterday and stuff always tastes better when you share, I gave some to the neighbours' keeping in mind that sharing is part of sunnah :). The feeling was something out of this world.

I love you 🍓 much

3- Surprise mother.

They say when you are looking at your mother, you are looking at the purest love you will ever know. I admit I have always been Mama’s boy kind of person and I really get along with my mom. Whatever I do in my life I will never be able to repay my parents. I believe men who love their mothers treat women wonderfully. And they have enormous respect for women.

As a token of love for my mother, I made her tea 🥰. It may not seem much but such small kind gestures can really spark joy.

Great job mom , I turned out awesome.

Your own chaiwala 😂

4- Old but gold.

As part of my kindness activity, I helped my cousin with going through old stuff. Basically, it was old books that he wanted to get rid of for so long. It was a trip down memory lane and had lots of fun. After going through all the cleaning we both decided to donate the books to the poor because knowledge is a commodity to be shared, for knowledge to pay dividends it should not remain the monopoly of a selected few.

We both were overwhelmed with joy after completing the task.

Sorry I am booked📚

5- Haar Gali ki Kahani:-

So just like everywhere else in Pakistan, people of all age groups are very keen on playing cricket in the street. Cricket being the most hyped up game in Central Asia is the centre of everybody's attention. I myself support physical games as these are very crucial for the physical as well as mental development of the person.

But the one thing I hate about this Gali cricket is that firstly it shouldn't be played on the street as it is very inconvenient for the passerby, secondly, the boys leave the bricks/stones used during the game, laying recklessly in the middle of the street being the centre of outmost concern for people walking by and people riding the bikes.

I only hope one day they realize and try to act like considerate citizens.

Nobody likes a run out🏏
